So weird dude. I've seen at least 4 of these things on the roads of San Diego county in the last month or so. Seems super random.

This is the first and only one I’ve seen and gotten close to. I can’t explain it but the looks just attract me so much.

I have seen two of these around my town within the span of 2 weeks. This is a good thing.

Same here. I’ve seen three around San Jose and it’s just weird seeing them out and about. One of them had gaudy red and chrome wheels though. I cannot even begin to comprehend why one would do that to a Slingshot.

They seem to attract a lot of the douchey customizers. I’ve seen gaudy wraps, gaudy wheels, pretty much anything you could possibly do to make this thing more noticeable, people have done.

That’s a shame. I thought they were more track focused so they would have been able to avoid that crowd. But really, how much more attention could one want when you already have only THREE wheels.

It’s flashy and cheap, so they draw flashy and cheap people.

Also, while it’s definitely fun to drive and very capable, I wouldn’t say it’s track-focused. A track focused version would need brakes that don’t fade after 5 turns, quicker steering, more adjustable suspension, and a much wider rear tire. You’re kind of limited on that a bit by the swingarm; you can’t just use spacers or a larger offset wheel because then your power is off-center.

I saw one in Montreal during the Canadian GP - surprised it drew as big of a crowd as any of the i8s. Looks nice and sharp in person, but not something I’d drop $20K on.

Very true. As much as I want one just for the experience of driving it I’d rather own a classic Volvo and or FD RX-7

Definitely the FD, and a bit set aside for a 13B rebuild. I mean, if we were going to buy a 3 wheeler, most of us would probably pick up a Morgan

I saw one with an interesting storage solution. He had strapped a backpack to each of the rollbars. I’m wishing it’s because he is going to DD it. In Indiana.

Found a t-Rex that's almost as ugly as said slingshot sounds. most cars usually have someone who makes them hideous
